Maintenance 1/19/2021
Fixed some bugs with the new DEEM rolling up projects (administrators only)
Corrected a typo for building types listing the "Slab on Grade" basement floor type as "Slap on Grade". 😂
Made adjustments to the reserve year 1 bundling for E-Tool projects so that it doesn't try to bundle if year 0 doesn't have any leftover money.
The Common Areas screen now allows you to use the add/edit item functionality from the Interface / Inspected Units screens.
Made small house keeping changes on the back end of Versa (cleaned up the Floor Systems list for Building Types); this shouldn't have any noticable change.
New Features
Bulk Create Common Areas
- There is a new button on the ribbon in the Common Areas screen that opens up a window that lets you select multiple buildings and then select a common area template to use to mass create common areas for the selected buildings.
- Example: You select Buildings 1, 2 and 3 on the grid on the left and then on the right in the drop down, select the int/ext framing delta common area template. This will cause Versa to create Framing Delta common areas for Buildings 1, 2 and 3.
- This new feature replaces the convoluted Common Area Templates feature in prior versions. All references to Common Area Templates have been removed from Buildings and Building Types.
- This feature still uses the Common Area Templates, so if you see a common area type that is not in the drop down on this window, let Chris or Stevie know and they can add them.
Sites Screen - Copy Property Address
- The add panel on the sites screen now has a button that will copy the address off of the property screen onto the site you are creating.
- This probably goes without saying, but if the property has a blank address, the site won't get anything from the property. 😛
E-Tool Export Screen - Export / Sync Financial Factors
- The export screen now has a button under the financial factors section that lets you export / synchronize the Finacial Factors from the E-Tool website.
- If we are allowed to update the Financial Factors on the website (I.E. We are the initiator of the E-Tool), then Versa will update any data on the websites Finacial Factors that which it can change (I.E. Annual Deposit rates, Comments, etc).
- If we CANNOT update the Financial Factors on the website (I.E. The client is the initiator), then Versa will copy the Financial Factor data from the website and update itself.
New DEEM Preview
- We added a very, VERY rough preview of the new DEEM to Versa (accessible in the Admin section only); this is primarily for Stevie, Jacob and Chris but other Admins are welcome to test roll ups. Please do not try using it for real projects yet and please also let Stevie, Chris and Jacob know if you encounter any bugs.
Improvements
Custom EULs for Interface Line Items should now properly update on the HUD website for alternative items.
- Note that this was fixed previously as a side effect of HUD switching over to E-Tool 3.0, but it wasn't verified until recently.
If an Alternative Item does not have comments / notes, they will be defaulted to N/A when exported to the E-Tool.
The text field for Class of Work / Scope on the Interface Line Item editor now has a drop down that lets you select premade class of works / scopes.
We made further adjustments to how the check for flag UL-003 occurs on the Pre-Validation screen and we should now, HOPEFULLY not produce extra UL-003 flags in Versa.
- Previously we were still adding them if the overall TCO Savings was 0; we changed it so that it only applies the flag when the savings is positive.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed a bug where the Companion Importer would fail due to recent changes made to Inspected Units determine FHA Status.
Other Changes
Upgraded several of the Microsoft libraries / DLLs that Versa uses for database access and error error reporting.
Basement floor values were cleaned up in Versa's code to fix possible bugs with building types.
Versa now stores the HUD Program Types / Events in the database so we that we can adjust them on the fly and add more information to them in the future.
