Maintenance (11/20/2020)

  • The export components feature on the export to web screen was not actually exporting only the components. This has been corrected.

New Features

  • The Validation Flag view has returned and now works with the web based E-Tool.
    • When you open this, it will require that you have the web address of the E-Tool entered into the project. There is a field on this view that lets you update it. You will need to save changes in order to save it.
    • When you click synchronize flags in the upper left hand corner on the ribbon, Versa will attempt to have the website validate the e-tool and then it will return any flags.
    • When you update the comments on a flag and then click synchronize again, it will update any flags on the website with your comments.
    • Any flags that get removed from the website via changes to the project (I.E. Clearing a flag) will be deleted from Versa when you synchronize again.
    • NOTE: You WILL get errors or no flags returned if the project has no data in it yet and there is nothing to validate online. 😛

Improvmeents

  • Reworded the error message that displays on the select component window when it tries to load and the database / network connection is down.

  • The website address, HUD Project ID and FHA numbers no longer copy over when you import data from a CNA Project into a new project using the new project wizard.

  • Updated several more of the icons in Versa to use Fluent Design instead of the Office style (I.E. Navigation menu items and funding schedule icon).

  • The flag report has been adjusted to reflect the removal of some of the columns that HUD no longer provides on the flag report (I.E. Occurence Number).

Other Changes

  • The repair sub category table in the database had to be cleaned up due to a very large number of redundant records for the default sub categories.

    • As a result, all sub categories that are defaults have been consolodated into the same record / row to reduce the amount of clutter.
    • This change was primarily made to make it easier to conduct roll ups / add DEEM into Versa in the near future.
    • Note from Stevie White: I had to take extra care not to lose any sub categories when making this change and spot checked to make sure they are still intact. However if you believe any subcategories that you assigned to interface line items / reserves are missing, please let me know.
  • The legacy E-Tool export has been completely removed from Versa's code base. We still have it backed up, but it is very unlikely we will ever need it again.

    • This should slightly reduce the file size of Versa.
